Problem

SPACES Denemead was awarded an annual contract by Renfrewshire Council to service and maintain (2-off) 11kW floating surface aerators and ancillary equipment located in a leachate treatment works, near Glasgow .

Unfortunately SPACES Denemead is situated some 638km away from the site which meant that the costs for them to perform the associated servicing and maintenance activities were disproportionately high.

Solution

Xm Services was able to assist SPACES Denemead by performing the required mechanical and electrical servicing activities for the complete range of equipment which included:

• Inspection and servicing of floating aerators
• Inspection, servicing and reconnection of feed, return and decant pumps
• Replacement of manual valves
• Electrical testing of: distribution services, main control panel, pump isolation control panels, aerator isolation terminal boxes
• Testing of instrumentation: float switches and air temperature probes
